Winners!

Today was a long day, yet enjoyable! We had panel discussions this morning with former interns and people who work in the golf industry. Our group had the opportunity to do a lot of networking and meet with a lot of people who will be helpful resources in the future.

By the end of the day, everyone knew that they had been anticipating the chance to play 9 holes at Sawgrass. We all got split up into different teams, each golf cart with our names on them. For those of us who aren't familiar with the game we got a short lesson on how to swing the clubs.

I was definitely rusty considering I haven't played for two years since I last took lessons. Luckily, when we made it to our first tee my roommate made a hole in one! She hadn't played since April and she got it in on the first swing. It was amazing! Low and behold my team was the one who ended up winning with a score of 30! I know that I did not contribute much to the team because I was hitting balls three feet in front of me or in the wrong direction really far. They were understanding about my inability to play and we all still really enjoyed ourselves.

We are touring the World Golf Village tomorrow, which is where I will be based. I am excited to see my department!

Teeing off,
Leah
